Country decorating has long been a much-loved style of interiors the world over. Although there are a lot of unique country styles, they have a lot in common, such as the use of natural materials, warm and neutral colors, homespun textiles and useful rustic decorations. Now the country look has been ushered into the 21th century through a mixture of so- called country colours, textures, fabrics, materials and furnishing, and modern trends, such as iPod stations, Plasma TVs, stainless steel surfaces and appliances, and designer furniture and decorative elements. The book presents a wide variety of modern country interiors from around the world, including private homes, bars, restaurants and hotels.
